The single family home presented XPO with a challenge - an unusually L-shaped common area which had to combine a fully functioning island kitchen, dining room for six and a family space. The strategy was to use the corner as a "pivot" and create a round shaped area accented by a ceiling fan and a semi-circular sofa.

The materials used for the project intended to reflect a contemporary read on natural hardwoods and veneers while circling back to the family business which is in the ship industry.
